Dan is one of those guys that you cant help but smile at, he’s handsome, funny, and radiantly in LOVE with Alison.  The plan was for her two friends to take her out and about in the city for the day, and meet Dan along the river.  Naturally, they were running a little late so after Dan and I briefed the plan one last time, I watched him anxiously check his phone every 5 seconds until she crossed the Arlington Street footbridge to the Esplanade.  Once she arrived, the crossed the canal where he stopped on the bridge to drop to one knee.
