Gemanique & Andrew Wedding at the Wychmere Beach Club, Harwich Port Cape Cod

July 30, 2014

Gem and Andy are a photographers dream, he is handsome and charming, and she is gorgeous and never. stops. smiling. literally.  It was so difficult to narrow down their 1000+ images to just these blogged images because not only were they they adorable together, but every detail of their wedding was elegant and thoughtfully planned.   When Gem asked us to cover the rehearsal dinner, David and I jumped on the opportunity (an excuse to spend the night on the Cape?!  We’ll take it!)  The dinner was at this cute little bed and breakfast, The Old Sea Pines Inn.

The food here looked amazing, a fun lobster bake!

The next morning, we met Andy at his childhood home in Sandwich, MA.  It was the perfect day for a wedding!

Gem & Andy wrote the cutest notes to one another, and on top of that- they also wrote their own vows (talk about a sob fest!)

I couldnt say it enough on the day of the wedding, these guys had the most amazing families!

Gem’s brother Edward, “no pictures please” 🙂 but how could I not? look at how suave this guys is!!  Gem was so cute, she made these timeline cards for the guys, with corresponding pictures!  I especially like the part “DO NOT GET GROOM DRUNK!”

Check out these strapping young gents.

A wedding day wouldnt be complete without a few PBR’s

I’m not sure what this move is…. but it probably had something to do with the mini bottles they had tucked away in their jackets.  At least they were also drinking water!  (DO NOT GET GROOM DRUNK!) 😉

Next stop, the beautiful bride!  Gem is lucky enough to have her mom as a hair dresser! She wanted to be the one to do her wedding day locks, and naturally she was there to touch her up throughout the day!

The girls had these adorable embroidered robes and umbrellas!

Ahhh, the gown:

check out this dude… is he not the cutest ever??  Second to these lovely ladies of course 🙂

Stunning.

I knew it was going to be an emotional day when Gem couldn’t even hold it together after her dad saw her for the first time!  So special!

The first look was at the Grist Mill in Sandwich, MA.  Beautiful spot!

I loved the lace train on her dress.  The sun backlit it perfectly!

Andy’s serious look is just a coverup.  He may have been trying to act like a tough guy, but inside I could tell he was nervous, excited, and emotional waiting to see his beautiful bride!!

The first look!!

Gem was just as shocked as Andy after seeing how handsome he looked 🙂

The ceremony and reception took place at the Wychmere Beach Club, an unbelievably gorgeous venue with incredibly accommodating staff.  It was an absolute pleasure working with everyone there!

…and the views weren’t too bad either….

The bridal party:

Gem’s dad walked her down the isle.  She was laughing and crying at the same time, it was really heartwarming.

Andy trying to hold it together….

Their vows were so beautiful.   Funny, loving, and heartfelt.  You could tell that they are perfect for each other, and they’ve know this for a long time.

Gems brother and cousin sang and played during the ceremony, it was absolutely beautiful.

They said I Do!  Oh, and if you’re ever bored at a beach wedding, just break out your sand toys 😉

Mr. & Mrs. Andrew Viall!!

They are the cutest couple ever!  Look at how happy they are, I love it!

The groomsmen were pretty pumped to get the party started.

Did I mention how gorgeous this venue is??!

White on white linens with silver runners.  White orchids with a touch of yellow dahlias and calla lilys, beautifully arranged by Fancy Flowers by Meredith.

Simple and elegant cake by The Casual Gourmet, perfectly matched the beachy look.

The first dance.  One of the most memorable parts of the evening.   My cheeks hurt after this, I was smiling so much!  How can you not be so happy for a couple that radiates so much love?!

The rest of the evening was also remarkable.  The toasts were unparalleled, with the perfect combination of humor and love.  The father/ daughter number was sung by Gem’s brother Edward, and when Andy danced with his mom, the dance floor was lined with sobbing guests.

Then we went to the beach for the sunset.  My favorite part of the evening is when I get just the two of them (and maybe a few video dudes) outside with me.  Its a point for them to break away from the amazing chaos of the day, and just fall in love all over again.  These two nailed it.

Then we went to the rooftop of the Wychmere where the views were incredible and the sky was blazing.

DJ Scott from Cape Tunes rocked the dance floor, definitely one of the best DJ’s we’ve ever worked with.  The groomsmen had moves like jagger, it was impressive.  Almost as good as grandma.

One of my favorites from the evening…

We’ve been really blessed to work with some amazing couples and really emotional weddings.  I still get really excited every time I go to shoot a wedding because I’m so happy for the couple.  After the wedding, I get to relive all the special moments of their day through their images and it makes me feel like I’ve known them for years.  Gem and Andy truly are the perfect pair and I cannot wait to see what life brings for them next 🙂

If you haven’t checked out the Same Day Edit of their video (done by my amazingly talented and handsome husband David along with the rest of the Harris Films crew), check it out here:  Gem + Andy Same Day Edit Video

Huge thanks to the entire creative team on this one, what an amazing wedding!
