Its usually really tough to schedule engagement photos in the winter because its just impossible to predict the weather. You want it to be the perfect amount of snowy but not freezing and miserable. In New England, the chances of finding that perfect winter day are <10%, so for that reason we reached out to a few of our friends at the Ritz Carlton and Smith & Wollensky and the results are nothing short of amazing. Without giving too much away (save the date trailer to come!!!) this was one of the cutest (and least suspecting) couples we’ve had the opportunity to work with. I met Kate less than a month ago and quite honestly, I thought TJ was in the CIA or something because its very rare that we book an Exclusive couple without meeting BOTH of them. Never the less, after seeing them together it was evident the moment they met it was destiny. Be on the look out for their video to hear their entire story!
First up- AVERY BAR! The avery bar is this upscale, intimate, cozy bar at the Ritz downtown, the perfect location for a little winter love.
Next up, a quick *very quick* stroll through Boston common. The 10-15 minutes we spent outside were certainly worth the frost bite- eeek!
We thawed out by finishing up at the Smith & Wollensky Castle, Back Bay. If you’ve never been to this venue, you are totally missing out. With 4 floors of historic preservatives and tons of natural light, this place was a photographers dream.
