I have been told I am a photographer that acts more like a bridesmaid (I always got your back). I thrive off positive vibes and high energy. I specialize in vogue inspired posing, capturing authentic candid moments & being the ultimate “hype girl”. Yes, I’m the girl with a huge camera in front of her face who’s screaming “YAAASSSSS” AND “SOOO CUTE, I AM OBSESSED”! I am always on your team, feeling your feels and capturing the whole day, from emotional moments of mom helping you put on your dress...to your grandma busting down to Lizzo at the reception.
When I am not capturing my peeps in love, I am either flying off to see my loved ones, on pintrest planning the next girls trip or looking for the best margarita in downtown Saratoga Springs NY. Movies and shows are truly the way to my heart, wanna be bestfriends? Just come at me with a quote from any 90s romantic comedy, Game of Thrones (Team Tyrion) or anything with Adam Sandler in it.

I absolutely love capturing all the beauty life has to offer, and I am so excited to be doing exactly that with The Harris Company! Ever since I was little I wanted to be a photographer, so I’m here to tell you dreams DO come true, and if you think it you can do it! I’m also very passionate about fitness, music, and self care! I truly believe a good workout and jam sesh is the cure to any bad day.
My favorite part of a wedding day has to be the first look! It’s such a beautiful moment to be apart of, not much compares to watching two individuals who are in love melt into a million pieces when they see each other for the first time on their special day. (If they’re crying, I’m DEFINITELY crying).
One of my favorite quotes is “You owe it to yourself to become everything you’ve ever dreamed of being.” I am SO eager to continue to grow as a photographer, and see where this crazy adventure takes me!

This is a craft I’ve been working on for over 12 years now. I would describe myself as fun, caring, and compassionate, with a great attention to detail. When I’m not producing cinema, you will most likely find me engaged in activities that nourish my connection to faith, family, and friends. One of my favorite parts of the wedding day is when the couple comes together for the beginning of the ceremony. All of the preparation has led to this moment! I also love that point in the day when the nerves melt away and the couple just enjoys each other and the experience. What’s great about creating wedding films is knowing how meaningful the end product will be to the couple. That gives me a sense of satisfaction.
I'll create a cinematic experience that gives you all the feels!

She was posing for a group shot with her friends when he jumped in the frame. She immediately noticed his huge smile and charming eyes. He fell in love with her laugh. A photobomb, our first candid, the night we met.

OUR STORY
Our quick romance, celebrated by a mountain-top wedding, led to welcoming the first of two adorable littles. It was at that moment we realized our true passion, documenting life organically and creatively.

We jumped off the ship of stability into a sea of freedom and creativity and while the waves were far from steady, it was always worth the ride. In our eyes, each romance is an adventure, a story waiting to be told.

Founded in Boston, our family of four quickly grew out of the small-space, fast-pace lifestyle and headed for the hills where we settled at the base of the Adirondack mountains in Saratoga Springs, NY.
With David's background in finance, Makayla’s in marketing and our joined enthusiasm for documenting everyday life creatively and authentically, building a business that centered around love and emotion came naturally to us. This was the beginning of our journey to becoming the top wedding photography & videography studio in Saratoga Springs, NY.

When we aren’t photographing weddings or coaching other creative business owners, we love exploring the outdoors, eating at every restaurant in our little town, and traveling the world with our whole Harris family (complete with all the cousins).
Our story consists of many moments of pivotal loss in addition to momentous joy, and for that, we’ve grown a sound appreciation for togetherness and the memories we can hold in our hands, close to our heart.
