Dez & Werner were in the works of planning their wedding (she even already had the dress!) when they found out they were expecting a beautiful baby girl.  The timeline didnt work out to do something lavish, so they planned a small affair instead.  Life took its course and 5 years later, Dez is still dying to wear the dress shes always dreamed about.  For their 5th Anniversary, they invited me to Liberty Hotel for a styled shoot in her wedding gown.  These two are so undoubtedly perfect for one another.    I typically photograph a lot of newly engaged couples, newly wedded, and the energy is always so radiating but theres something a bit different about photographing a couple thats been married for 5 years.  Their connection felt comfortable, settled, stable, trusting, deep, rooted, strong.  It was refreshing to see the spark between them and something even stronger behind all that.   You can tell just by watching them that they are best friends, soul mates.  Happy Anniversary to an inspiring couple, cheers to many many more happy years to come.  You are truly blessed.

It was so much fun shooting at the Liberty Hotel, and to wrap the session up we relaxed with a few cocktails at their hotel bar, Clink.  It was the perfect way to incorporate something a little more candid into the session, dont you think?
