Lauren toured this beautiful couple around the Boston Seaport and Fort Point neighborhood, one of our very favorite places to shoot. It was a windy evening, but we just adore the whimsical, nautical look of how everything came together. Mike and Jamie are two of the sweetest people we’ve had the pleasure of meeting, constantly smiling and so easy going. Right off the bat we knew this session was going to be a breeze!
Words from Jamie: “The choice for location was driven by the fact that we will be married in Boston and thought it would be fun to do the shoot as a precursor or teaser to the big day. I grew up in Mass and went to college in Boston so the city is special to me. As a couple, as we have visited the city together we have spent the most time in the seaport. It’s our favorite place to stay and go to restaurants. Also, since it’s still new and growing it’s been a place for us to explore together. ”
“The juxtaposition of the “old” or more traditional part of Boston combined with the new architecture made for an awesome backdrop. Also the views of the water gave a totally different feel (more nautical) within only a few blocks. The seaport/fort point area is a great spot to provide many different backdrops and themes within a few steps.”
“We loved working with The Harris Company because it felt so easy! Lauren has a great eye for photography and was fun and encouraging so we would look natural in our photos. She put us at ease, and we had a really good time which resulted in great pictures!”
Some Advice for Other Couples?! “Have fun! Mike and I initially thought of the shoot as one more thing to do before the wedding day and as part of the planning process. However, it turned out to be a special night just for us, allowing us to have a fun moment together. “
