Marissa and Mark met on their first day of undergraduate studies at Providence College. A few months before graduation, Mark mustered up the courage to ask Marissa out on a date where they soon discovered they had an undeniable connection with similar life goals. Mark went on to business school while Marissa attended law school and they supported each other every step of the way. Subsequent to Marissa taking the bar exam, Mark proposed to Marissa at the Marina de Vilamoura in Portugal! He brought her to a secluded area on the pier and asked her to turn around so he could take a photo of her looking at the boats. When he had her turn around for the photo, he was down on one knee and popped the question!
To make things official they got married in the Grand Ballroom at the Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston. The venue has Beaux-Arts architecture with ornate, gold interior details. The wedding had a theme of romantic elegance with golds and creams.
