We are super excited to announce the first ever, Harris Choice Awards.  This year, we’ve had the opportunity to work with some amazing couples, killer vendors, and lots of great bridal parties and families along the way!   This year definitely topped the charts as far as extravagance and uniqueness goes, so we are celebrating by giving you a recap in each category!

First up- the wedding gown!!  Its the iconic symbol for every bride, and usually one of the first things a bride sets off to find in her planning process for the perfect day.  We asked each of our team members for their top pick and this is what we came up with:

1. Gemanique

Boutique:  Russells Bridal’s & Tuxedos

The stunning fit of the dress paired with Gems side pony was stunning.  The juxtoposition of the long lace flowing along the sand as she walked down the isle was perfection.  The intricate detail and simplistic ruching made this dress a masterpiece.  And then this happened:

Gem plans to have the dress restored and says that it was all worth it once she saw how beautiful the images turned out!!

2. Amie, Vera Wang

Oh, Vera.  This dress literally looked like a day dream.  With pure elegance, the simplistic dress paired with a touch of glam on the sash made this one breath taking.  This dress stole the show when we took Amie & Armen into the middle of the street for their bridal portraits in the seaport district, cars beeping and yelling congratulatory complements!

3. Meghan

Boutique:  Chryssie’s Bridal

With dreams of looking like a princess, Meghan fell nothing short of spectacular on her wedding day with this cathedral style train polished with subtle gems.  With a dress this voluptuous, the bridal portraits were sure to be epic.  And they were:

4. Barbara, Custom Pnina Tornai

Boutique:  Kleinfeld’s

Lace, lace, and more lovely lace!  Lace was certainly a theme this year, but no one rocked it better than Barb in her Pnina Tornai.  Without feeling over the top feminine, this lace patter was simplistically romantic.  The off the shoulder straps, low back line, and fitted waistline made this dress beyond stunning.  Most importantly, it coordinated so well with the grooms attire it had me in a “if I could plan my wedding over again… ” moment.

5. Rebecca, Maggie Sottero

Boutique:  Chryssie’s Bridal

Our non-traditional bride this year was Rebecca is her flawless champagne colored gown.  The beading and stitched details took on kind of a swan-like look and with her wedding on the lake and swan inspired stationary, it was the perfect hint of romance- without feeling to “stuffy” incase you needed to jump on water trampolines 😉

6. Alexandra

Boutique:  Essense of Australia

If you could custom design a dress to fit your personality, this would be the “custom alexandra”.   I feel in love with Alex’s style after our engagement shoot (and so did the rest of the world!). The peplum waistline is everywhere these days and this little fashionista found a way to perfectly incorporate the chic style into her wedding gown without sacrificing elegance and glamour.

7. Valerie, Maggie Sottero

The details of this dress were INSANE.  The cream color and vintage flair made Valerie look like something out of a fairytale.

8. Stacey, Vera Wang

Stacey’s intimate wedding and simplistic style was defined by this dress.  The details on the dress were minimal, yet it was such a statement piece.  The intricacy of the bodice chiffon was stunning and perfect for her private beach affair.
