Runway and Fashion are always a huge influence on trends, even in the bridal world.  By the time they hit the mainstream, they usually get a little watered down.  Right now Crystal Crowns are really big on the runway, and these days weddings are really about who you are or what feeling you want to exude.

I pretty much love any wedding hair but 2014-2015 almost every bride wanted a side bun with a braid.  It was and is a beautiful look, but as a creative it’s in your nature to want to do something fresh and unique.

When you are headed to your stylist for your preview be sure to try different looks.  I like to book 1 1/2 hours for my bridal previews to allow time to create at least 2 looks for my bride, sometimes 3.  Just like a dress you may be surprised at what you end up loving!

Growing up I was always fascinated with runway, models and fashion.  Becoming a hairdresser was the best way I knew how to get into that world.  Styling to me is like the icing on the cake and anyone who knows me knows I love icing.  What I mean by this is, you can have a great cut and a great color but when your hair is finished with that amazing blow out, full voluminous updo or beautiful beachy waves any woman knows it’s EVERYTHING!  It can make you feel sexy, youthful and romantic.  I remember watching a coworker, at the first salon I worked, take this woman with fine thin hair and dress it into this beautiful french twist, at that moment I knew it was what I wanted to be great at.  It was such an amazing transformation.  What I love the most about my career is the relationships that I get to create; with my clients, my coworkers, other creative artists, I am constantly networking and meeting new people literally around, not just the country, but around the world. Most of all I love that I can continue to push the boundaries of my creative expression without any limits but the limits I put on myself.
